Deer Season

Deer hunting here in Maine starts this Saturday and it promises to be a good season. Reports indicate a large population of deer and I hold both an any deer permit and a bonus anterless deer permit, so I have high hopes for the season.

Deer hunting has a long tradition in the State of Maine, as it has in much of the United States and Canada. The deer found in Maine is the Whitetail Deer, which is native to much of North America, and has been introduced in Finland.
